Dr. Lorraine Lee, VMD/cVMA
Dr. Lorraine Lee was born and raised in New Jersey. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1994. She joined Morristown Animal Hospital shortly thereafter under the mentorship of Jon and Nancy Padover. She worked as a relief veterinarian for many years while raising her daughters and found her way back to Morristown Animal Hospital full time in 2020. I enjoy every aspect of veterinary medicine. I am around animals all the time and I have the privilege of helping people help their pets. As senior clinician and medical director Dr. Lee strives to maintain the collaborative nature of the medical team.
Dr. Lorraine Lee is the medical director and senior veterinarian at Morristown Animal Hospital. A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, she has over 30 years of experience in the field and a special interest in internal medicine. With a passion for learning new ways to help her patients, she pursued a certification in Veterinary Medical Acupuncture in 2016. Dr. Lee has been with Morristown Animal Hospital for the better part of her professional career and enjoys the collaborative culture of the team and its commitment to excellent medicine.
Outside of work Dr. Lee enjoys working out, game night, relaxing on the beach and spending quality time with her husband, daughters, family, and friends, and her fuzzy little dog Daffodil.
Dr. Lisa Brennan, DVM
Dr. Brennan’s journey to veterinary medicine started with a small Boxer dog of questionable breeding. She had graduated from college and didn’t know what was next for her. That sweet dog took her to the local veterinary hospital often and eventually to a job there. Starting in the kennel and then as a veterinary assistant, Dr. Brennan loved being in the hospital and knew she had found her path.
Dr. Brennan went to the Atlantic Veterinary College in Prince Edward Island, Canada, graduating in 1999. She then completed a small animal internship at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 2000. Her family life has since taken her to the Toronto area, to Virginia Beach, back to Saskatoon and finally here to New Jersey. She joined the team at Morristown Animal Hospital in 2014 and found her veterinary home.
Her interest and focus of practice is with internal medicine and she has a particular interest in the management of her older patients and their quality of life. She feels it is a privilege to be able to care for pets and support their families from the first puppy or kitten visit until their final one.
When she is not at the veterinary hospital, she has always enjoyed spending time with her family and in the outdoors (ideally at the same time!) – hiking, skiing, gardening and walks with the dog. If she’s not outside, Dr. Brennan and her family can be found baking in the kitchen or piled on the couch watching a movie. Her boys (2 of hers, plus 2 stepsons) are almost grown and family time is becoming less frequent. But she treasures it when she gets it and looks forward to what life will bring her and her husband as “empty nesters”!
Dr. Meg Radford, VMD
Dr. Meg Radford is a local who grew up in Morristown, NJ, and achieved her childhood dream when she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Veterinary Medicine, in 2017, and started working as an associated veterinarian at Morristown Animal Hospital. She previously worked as a veterinary assistant at MAH over her college summer/winter breaks starting in 2009, and always felt part of the MAH family, despite the short stints of work each year. Dr. Meg was excited to have the chance to return as a full-time to the practice that helped prepare her for veterinary school. She is grateful to be able to give back to the community in which she grew up, and has continued to grow along with the clinic that feels like home.
From the time she was able to comprehend that there was a career focused on animal health, Dr. Meg never had any doubts that the veterinary profession was her calling. She could not begin to imagine the depths of rewards she would gain from helping pets and their humans. Everyday brings something new and she enjoys greeting each challenge as an opportunity to learn and grow.
Dr. Meg has three cats and lives with her partner, Tal, who sometimes joins her in performing with her parents in their rock band called The Professors (find them on Spotify!). She enjoys singing and composing music with her guitar. In her time as an undergraduate at Rutgers University, Dr. Meg applied her love of music to animal research and studied music’s effect on the behavior of Alpine goats. She also earned a minor in psychology and has an interest in animal behavior, particularly relating to management of anxiety to preserve the human-animal-bond and quality of life.
Dr. Meg also finds great joy in crafting – rotating through crochet, knitting, cross-stitching, embroidery, sewing, and diamond painting. When she is not crafting, you might find her puzzling, playing games, or dressing up to go dancing! Yes, she even makes her own accessories. She has also been active in donating her crafts throughout the years to raise funds or provide support to those going through difficult times.
Dr. Meg’s main focus is preventative medicine – keeping pets healthy so they do not need to be seen for sick visits as often for preventable diseases. She was raised by two academic professors and is passionate about utilizing education as a tool to improve compliance and help pet parents understand why recommendations are being made, enabling collaboration to optimize the precious time shared with our pets.
Dr. Tracy De Meola, DVM
Dr. Tracy De Meola has been practicing veterinary medicine since 2006. She graduated from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine and completed an internship in medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in New York City. Dr. De Meola enjoys general practice because it allows her to meet pets as puppies or kittens, care for them throughout their lives, and help them live comfortably during their senior years. She believes it is wonderful to watch the bond between a client and their pet develop and considers it an honor to be trusted with managing the care of those beloved animals. Dr. De Meola has worked hard to develop strong communication skills, focusing on both listening and providing concise explanations.
When she is not at work, she enjoys reading, knitting, and spending time in cold ice rinks watching her children play hockey.
Dr. Ben Staiger, DVM
Traveling Orthopedic Surgeon
With over 15 years of experience working in both academia and various high-volume veterinary hospitals, Dr. Ben Staiger is well-versed in and routinely performs a comprehensive range of surgeries. Besides his extensive orthopedic training, strong interest in traumatology, and love for soft tissue surgery, Dr. Staiger has a particular passion for minimally invasive surgery (MIS) and interventional radiology.
Inspired by the exceptional level of veterinary care and quality of specialty training in the United States, Dr. Staiger pursued surgical specialization at Michigan State University after graduating from the Ludwig-Maximilian University in Munich, Germany, in 2004.
After an Internship in General Medicine and Surgery, he completed a Residency in Small Animal Surgery, a Surgery Specialty Fellowship, and a Fellowship in Interventional Radiology (IR).
There has been a paradigm shift in the way we approach many aspects of surgery in modern veterinary medicine. Minimally invasive options are increasingly available, and our treatment repertoire is rapidly expanding into this field. He feels privileged and elated to be part of a group of specialists who have the expertise to decrease the invasiveness of our interventions. In doing so, they now enhance each individual patient’s capacity to recover and heal.
After moving to New Jersey in 2011, he pioneered the IR Service at NorthStar VETS and established the surgery service at Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Hillsborough. In 2014, he founded Princeton Veterinary Specialists, a company that provides advanced surgery and care at select practices in New Jersey.
“I’m excited about the opportunity of bringing advanced surgery and minimally invasive interventions directly to XXX. Procedures that have traditionally been reserved for specialty centers and academia only are now available at your veterinarian’s office.”
As a Fear Free Certified Professional, Dr. Staiger emphasizes the importance of a personal, gentle, and compassionate approach to each individual patient and their family.
Dr. Staiger enjoys a number of downtime activities, including traveling, hiking, sailing, skiing, motorcycling, and gardening. He loves good food, great company, and, above all, quality time with his friends and family (which naturally also includes several furry, four-legged members).
Dr. Caitlin Sun, DVM
Caitlin Sun is a native North Carolina girl raised in Salem County, NJ where her love of animals grew from caring for their cats, dogs, horses, guinea pigs, and gerbils. Joining 4-H as a youth, Dr. Sun gained a deeper understanding of the nuances of animal care and a passion for educating pet owners. She completed her Bachelor of Science Degree from Cook College at Rutgers University in 2010 where she was a part of the G.H. Cook Honors Program, Rutgers Mounted Patrol, and Alpha Zeta. She then received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University in 2015. After graduation, Dr. Sun attended a rotating specialty internship at Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, NJ.
Dr. Sun is a passionate “crazy cat lady” and an advocate for feline health as well as low-stress vet visits. Her special interests include preventative medicine, endocrinology, dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and geriatric pet care. In her free time, Caitlin enjoys gardening, cooking, warm weather activities, and spending time with her husband, Greg Sun. She is often accompanied to work with her labrador, Margo, and supervised at home by her two black cats, Pearl and Alice.
Dr. Sue Bliesath, DVM
Dr. Bliesath graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998. She grew up in Northern NJ and raised her 3 children in Long Valley. Her interests include animal behavior, skin disorders, reproduction, service animals and preventive medicine. She loves to provide lifelong care to her patients, celebrating the human animal bond! She believes in treating her patients as if they are her own and encourages client questions.
Now that her children are older, she decided to give back to her children’s school and is serving her second term on the West Morris Regional High School Board of Education. When she is not in the hospital, you can find her with her husband, supporting her children in their various endeavors, hiking with her dogs or out on her boat!
Dr. Scott Kinerk, DVM
Veterinarian
Scott Kinerk was raised in Buffalo, NY. His passion for animal care started with his visits to Purdue University, where his grandfather was a Veterinarian. After undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan, Dr. Kinerk received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Michigan State University in 1997. After a year in Grand Rapids, MI, he returned to his hometown and worked at the Amherst Small Animal Hospital before starting a house call practice. Dr. Kinerk has always been a general small animal practitioner and has operated, simultaneously, a house call practice in Morris county, as well as Buffalo. By 2022, he had wound down his practices and was working exclusively at Morristown Animal Hospital. Although he no longer performs surgery Dr. Scott, still enjoys many aspects of general practice, especially treating allergies, osteoarthritis, endocrine diseases, ophthalmology, educating clients about preventative medicine and the Human-animal bond.
Dr. Kinerk used to love to run, finishing 18 marathons, but now you will more likely see him cycling or golfing in Morris county. Recently, he received his Captain’s license and he plans to find more time to sail the Great Lakes. He also spends some time as a sports fan, rooting for the Spartans, the Wolverines and the Buffalo Bills. Scott has been married for more than 30 years to his wife Beth, and they have two children, both of whom live and work in Chicago.
